We again worked together with D. Mason Developments on this project. When we first visited this job with Derek the floors were at the original distance from the ceilings…under six foot! Derek had done his homework and worked out much of the planning as he had already decided to remove the original, and very beautiful, flag stones and dig out the floor. Once this was completed the floor would then be re-laid. We worked closely with Martin and Kerry to design their kitchen in such a way that would maximise the space within the L shaped room. We decided on two work surfaces as the two areas of the kitchen would be used in different ways regarding food preparation and the like. We used tulip wood face and door frames together with oak cabinets. By incorporating modern storage solutions as well as fully integrated appliances, this very small space ended up being a very comprehensive kitchen full of charm and character.
Materials used: Tulip wood / Birch ply / Solid oak / Reconstituted stone
