blackmore end

We had often passed these barns over the years and had always thought that they would make for the most wonderful of conversions. Too we had hoped for the opportunity to work with Pocknell Studio also based in Blackmore End close to where the barns are situated. So when Philip and Judy came into our showroom and explained that they had purchased the barns, and that David Pocknell and Mark Homer were their chosen architects, we were over the moon at the prospect of working within the team. David and Mark had already worked out the majority of the planning regarding the kitchens, utility rooms and dressing rooms etc., so it was over to Philip, Judy and ourselves to finalise configuration and fine tune surface finishes. The overall design of these buildings was truly something to be proud of for all involved. From the clearly readable ‘Pocknell’ theme, through to the quality build completed by DNPS, the input from both Philip and Judy and the team at en masse bespoke, the result was two beautifully restored buildings which will be admired and enjoyed for many years to come.
